Roku Holiday Campaign

Roku is a leading streaming TV platform that provides access to over 500,000 movies and TV shows across free and paid channels. As the lead designer for social at Roku, I was tasked with creating assets for the company’s holiday campaign in 2022. The primary goal of the campaign was to drive sales of Roku devices during the holiday season.

The main objectives of the project were to:

  1. Create visually appealing assets that would resonate with the target audience and drive sales of Roku devices
  2. Enhance brand recognition and increase brand awareness during the holiday season
  3. Drive more traffic to the Roku website and social media channels


To begin the project, I collaborated with the marketing team to define the creative direction for the holiday campaign. We brainstormed ideas for the social media assets and determined the key themes that would be reflected throughout the campaign.

Using this direction, I created various social media assets, including holiday-themed posts, graphics, and animations. I ensured that all assets were consistent with Roku’s branding guidelines and optimized for different social media platforms.

In addition to creating social media assets, I also designed hero images for the Roku website. These images showcased Roku’s streaming devices and services in a festive and holiday-themed setting, and were designed to encourage viewers to purchase Roku devices as gifts for their loved ones during the holiday season. I also assisted with designing other website assets and optimizing the website for the holiday campaign.


The holiday campaign was a great success, exceeding the client’s expectations in terms of sales, engagement, and traffic. The social media assets received high engagement rates, with increased likes, shares, and comments compared to previous campaigns. The hero images were also successful in driving traffic to the Roku website, with over 30% more visitors compared to the same period the previous year. The campaign led to a 25% increase in sales of Roku devices during the holiday period, surpassing the client’s goals.
