The objective of the project was to create dynamic banners for Marriott Bonvoy’s holiday campaign. The banners were intended to promote the holiday member rates offered by Marriott International for the 4th of July and Labor Day. The banners were to be displayed on the Marriott website, and rates started from $129 for the 4th of July promotion and $134 for Labor Day promotion.
As the designer at the Oliver Agency, I was responsible for creating dynamic banners for Marriott Bonvoy’s holiday campaign. One banner was for the 4th of July, and the other was for Labor Day. The objective was to create visually appealing banners that incorporated American branding to align with the holiday themes.
I began by conducting extensive research to gain insight into the target audience’s preferences and expectations. I used this information to develop concepts that would resonate with the audience. After several brainstorming sessions, I created two banner concepts, one for each holiday.
For the 4th of July banner, I incorporated American branding elements such as an ice cream cone with the American flag on the cone, to create a bold and visually appealing design. The banner featured a striking headline that read, “Get Ready to Fourth of July More,” emphasizing the exclusive rates available to members, starting from $129.
For the Labor Day banner, I leveraged similar design elements to develop a banner that aligned with the holiday’s theme. The banner showcased an American flag by the ocean, with the headline reading, “Celebrate More.” This messaging emphasized the exclusive rates available to members, starting from $134.
Once the concepts were approved, I worked with a team of copywriters and developers to bring the banners to life. The banners were designed to be responsive and optimized for different screen sizes. We thoroughly tested the banners on various devices to ensure they met the client’s requirements and functioned flawlessly.
